Wheeeeeeeeee

A shortie tonight as I attempt to discover if Raoul - my sleek new laptop - and I are going to become the bestest of buds. The whole laptop thing is new to this nerd, and while I was able (thanks honey.... very cool early birthday present) to get the big 17 inch screen model, I'm not so sure about the new keyboard arrangement. It just seems.... weird.

Weird can be good, but this is going to take some getting used to.

Granted, same thing could be said for my relationship with the Prime Geek himself, so it could all work out for the best. We'll see.

I think my true standing as a natural nerd and not a geek is coming to the forefront though, cause for the life of me, I can't figure out what all the fuss over Vista is.

Now, excuse me. I wanna see what Raoul can do.

Ciao'.

I got my first laptop about a month ago. Before I got it, I was staunchly anti-laptop. A friend I trust, and who is very knowledgeable about all things IT related, convinced me to try it. Now I'll never go back. I have so much more freedom with a laptop. I've also become more than slightly addicted to curling up on my couch and surfing the net.

I'm not sure whether I should thank my buddy or kick him. Anyway, I'm guessing you and Raoul will have a great time together.

I bought my first laptop when I returned to school to finish my degree. It shipped with Vista. It took me approximately twenty minutes to determine that Vista is, in fact, an abomination before God and must be destroyed with the most extreme prejudice.

If it wasn't for the inherent laziness of this IT professional, I'd have installed Linux. Instead, there just happened to be this XP disc laying about doing nothing....
